Chinyee Kim Keyoung

Chinyee Kim Keyoung specializes in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University California at Berkeley in 1998, and her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002. Ms. Keyoung is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.

While in law school, Ms. Keyoung was a recipient of CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis, Research and Writing (2000) and San Mateo County Women Lawyers’ Section Scholarship (2001). She clerked for the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office where she represented State of California in Superior Court during preliminary and motion hearings and participated in all aspects of trial preparation. She also volunteered at East San Jose Community Law Center to assist clients in fields of consumers’ rights, family law, and workers’ rights.

Ms. Keyoung’s practice consists of the defense of fraudulent and complex workers’ compensation, including job injuries, 132a discrimination, serious and willful misconduct, liens, and subrogation. In addition, she represents and counsel s employers and businesses on employment and labor issues and all other aspects of risk management.

Ms. Keyoung is affiliated with American Bar Association, Orange County Korean American Bar Association, and Asian American Bar Association. She is fluent in Korean.
